Teach one child. Gather a few. Let them play.

Safety holds the day. What fills it is one-on-one teaching, a small circle, and play you can see: blocks, dough, kitchens, books, and a fenced yard. Educators follow a shared rhythm so parents know what “good” looks like from Clairmont to Avondale.

Arrival
A named greeting, hands washed, attendance logged. Safety starts at the door.
One-on-one
Reading, feeding, settling, or a skill with one child while the small group stays in sight.
Group time
Circle on the rug, kitchen-table work, or an outdoor game. A huddle—not a class of twenty.
Play & meal
Free play is the work of the morning. Sit-down food. Allergies posted. Water without asking.
Rest & yard
Sleep checks in a real bedroom. Then the fenced yard, a walk, or quiet play. Parents hear what happened.

One child, one book

An educator sits with one child to read, feed, settle, or practise a skill—while the rest of the small group is still held. Mixed ages make this possible. A classroom of twenty does not.

Songs on the rug. Stories at the table. A handful of children, not a hallway of chairs. Group teaching stays small enough that every child can answer.

Make, cut, and share

Paper, glue, counting beads, threading cards. Shared table work is teaching and care in the same bowl.

Yard and weather

Fenced play, snow banks, spring mud, and shade in July. Outdoor games and fresh air stay on the record, not as an extra.

Heavy work outdoors

Naps happen in a real bedroom, with sleep checks written down. Mixed ages learn to protect rest time.

Block cities, play kitchens, and wooden tools. We prefer things children can repair over screens they cannot.
